Help for families in NICU
My beautiful daughter Isla is a surviving twin born at just 24 weeks on 20th January 2018 along with her angel twin Esme who was sadly stillborn.
Isla spent almost 7 months in NICU where she received amazing treatment and experienced a rollercoaster ride!
My couragous and brave little fighter has made me determined to raise money to help in supporting families during their NICU stay.
Our original idea was purely to provide small care packs and refreshments for families but this has grown since we registered the charity in 2019.
We now provide care packs to almost 40 hospitals across the UK as well as their connected transfer teams. Making sure that the families have all the essential items needed for the first few days- which is typically the most crucial time.
So far your donations have helped us to provide a constant flow of care packages to our hospitals and transport services and we are grateful to have just been able to provide iPads to one of our hospitals so that parents are able to stay connected to their babies even when not physically present. We hope that with continued support we can roll these out with the relevant software so that all Neonatal units can have this technology!
Thanks for reading.
