My name is Evelyn Amin. I am a single mother of a 4yr old boy and a registered nurse. I moved from California to Houston which is now home for me. I was diagnosed in Aug 2017 with a type of cancer called lymphoma. (Lymphoma is cancer of the lymph nodes). Mine started as a little boil, rapid weight loss, fatigue, vomiting etc. On a faith day unknowingly l woke in the ER and late found out that my 4yr old called 911 from me being unresponsive. At this point my 4yr had become my only voice. In February 2018 my voice my son did it again and this time worse fears were confirmed. Son: "help help, Mami is sick someone called 911 Andi need bread too". Paramedics were called and l was taken to a bigger hospital. Labs and biopsy showed lymphoma Ultrasound, catscan were done to confirm it thus my worse fears. Chemo was to be started immediately give the fact that it is a fast growing type of cancer. Lying there in shock when the news was first given , As mentioned above l live alone.l was also hit by the hurricane Harvey 2017 here in Houston and lost everything. . As we all know cancer is very expensive despite insurance. Please I need your physical, emotional and financial support . I have done 5 chemotherapy already with side effects like palpitation, extreme vomiting, generalized weakness, frequents blood transfusions. I am very weak and unable to take care of herself as all her family is out of state. I have also given my son to a family member out of state. This is my story, this my life and my God bless you all for being there.
