The Schlipp family has been a major part of the San Clemente Community for years and they are now in need of help from a community to which they have given soo much.
As some of you may have heard, their 6-year-old daughter Esme has been experiencing some challenges with her health for the last couple of years. Within the last year, she was finally given the diagnosis with Sanfilippo Syndrome. Sanfilippo Syndrome is a rare genetic disorder for which there is no cure. Sanfilippo syndrome primarily affects the brain and spinal cord (central nervous system).
While their family has received some comfort in the form of answers, it is very devastating for our family to have such a grim diagnosis and prognosis for Esme.
As Esme's disease has progressed and she is now requiring around-the-clock care. Maelynn has done her best to handle all of Esme's care herself and even after applying for assistance from the state, they are not able to do it on their own anymore.
The Schlipp family and Esme need our help and any amount make a difference.
Thank you in advance for your help and prayers it means so much to the family.
