My name is Ken Foster and I’m trying to help my brother, Ed Foster and his family, raise funds for his traumatic brain injury he sustained from falling off a ladder inside his home Friday May 27th. Ed had a loss of consciousness, was combative and non verbal. Initial GCS (for you in the medical field) was 8 on arrival at the trauma unit. He was sedated and intubated. He had a trach put in yesterday because he was not tolerating the ET tube without sedation.

His injuries are extensive: depressed skull fracture, sub dural bleed, subarachnoid bleed, basal skull fracture, bilateral orbital fractures, sinus and frontal lobe fracture, seven rib fractures, collapsed lung, chest tube was inserted two days ago. Wrist fracture, finger fracture.

The good news is that he has no spinal or cervical injuries. He’s moving everything except his left leg. He will have a very long road to recovery and any help would be greatly appreciated for his family.
