Help for Durk’s chemo treatments

Hi, my name is Lauren and I’m fundraising for my girl friend and coworker Hayleigh❤️, her boyfriend Luc and their pupper Durk.

Durk is a handsome 5 year young pittie man that has been in and out of the hospital for 2 years now. Durk ate a chicken skewer which his parents were on top of and prophalactically took him to the vet for. They did a scan and said everything was okay and that he would pass it naturally. After a week of Durk not eating and body running very hot his parents too him back to the vet knowing something was very wrong. A 12k 7hr surgery showed that the skewer did not pass naturally and perforated Durks insides. For the last 6 months Durk has been in and out of the hospital with the symptoms of not eating or even wanting to go outside to go to the bathroom. At first Hayleigh and Luc were told Durk had an autoimmune disease which could not be cured but could be controlled with immunosuppressants and steroids which he was given religiously. Now, Durk has swollen lymph nodes and is lethargic while on these meds so back to PVSEC his parents took him. The vet said since these meds aren’t working it actually isn’t an autoimmune disease but is an aggressive cancer called, Lymphoma. Hayleigh and Luc have decided to do whatever it takes to try to save Durk and the vets agree that aggressive chemo could save him.

Hayleigh is an angel, I love that I get the fortune to work with her daily. She is such a sweet and caring human and I know she would never ask for help. Seeing her in pain and struggling is crushing. Animals are the best. I would 100% do the same.
