It has left him in critical condition with multiple extensive injuries.
He has tremendous injuries to his head a skull fracture and brain swelling.
He has broken facial bones, a collapsed lung, broken ribs, internal bleeding, a broken femur in his left leg, a broken finger on his left hand, his gall bladder was dislodged, spleen injured, a small bone in his vertebrae was broken.
In just two days he’s had four surgeries.
First concern was the collapsed lung, they got him on a ventilator and repaired the lung, they are extremely bruised, then the internal bleeding of course. The scan showed it was coming from his liver and spleen. First surgery on day one they went in and repaired the liver.
Second surgery early on day two they removed his gall bladder and spleen. Third surgery later that day, they put in a brain monitor to watch the swelling. Fourth surgery day four they put a metal rod in his leg to fix his broken femur.
The man has been through it.
His head injury is our biggest concern at this time. We think the swelling is under control but he hasn’t quite woken up since all the surgery’s. The doctors said he would be in the SICU for at least two weeks and in the hospital at least four weeks
He has a beautiful family that need him so badly. A daughter almost 9 years old, a son 2 ½ yrs old, not to mention his wife who is his best friend and he is hers.
He is my only child and a good man and a great dad, and a wonderful husband. I hate for him to come out of this and have to worry about the hospital bills and all the other expenses the family will incur while he recovers, which we understand will be a good while. He will be out of work for a long time and I know that if he can’t support his family that will stress him even more.
That’s why I am asking for your help. If you cannot contribute we just ask that you lift him up in your prayers, but if you can I know the blessing will come back to you.
We are keeping the faith that he will wake up and be ok. The only guarantee we have is that God is in control and we just need to be patient, pray, and keep the faith.
Thank you all for reading our story and God Bless.
