Hello. I'm Haley Heaton, Don and Janice's daughter-in-law. I am here with Gary Heaton one of their sons and my husband setting this account up. We are trying to help his mom and dad with day to day expenses. Don has been in the hospital since Monday Aug. 9th. He's been diagnosed with stage 4 metastasis (spreading) colon cancer with spotting on his liver. He will no longer be allowed to work for some time and the purpose of this campaign is to provide relief of the daily expenses we have that we pay little attention to such as the $4 per entrance hospital parking, to lunch, to their daily bills such as electric or simply a cell phone to keep us up to date with Don's health. Basically I'm trying to relieve the stress, and concern of money so they can fully focus on the well being and health of my father in law. If you could please also keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they battle this road ahead of them.....thank you for time

hey this is Gary Heaton. First i just want to thank anyone who takes the time to read,acknowledge, passes a prayer, throws a share, and lastly donates for my dad. Writing this is probably one of the hardest things I've done, my dad is a good man who has helped so many from my friends, to strangers, to really anyone he's known in need. That being said hes a very prideful man who wouldn't ask for a dime, much less a helping hand. He's been everything from me to a coach who taught me how to pitch a baseball, to a man other kids could look up to that didn't have a dad to watch them play, i remember him taking the entire team to dairy queen for ice cream after games and I've witnessed the same after my daughters soccer games. He spent Thursday nights painting the football field so my my team could have something to be proud of Friday night under the lights when i was in high school. He loves my daughter and my step kids the same. Hes always put myself, my daughter, and everyone else first. Hes someone I'm proud to call dad. i just want to make things a little easier for my parents while their coping and dealing for his journey ahead of him and the steps of treatment his doctors advise. the last thing i want such a selfless man to worry about is how this gets paid or that gets done. And being the man he is i know hes probably gonna let me have it if he finds out but i just hope im able to give something back hes gave to so many. just please keep him and my mom in your thoughts and prayers.
