Dolly was found as a stray in Tempe, Arizona with a horrible limp, two huge masses on her chest, and severely matted and dirty. I took her in knowing that if she was sent to county or ended up in the wrong hands, she would have no hope of recovering, living a good life, or even surviving.
Upon visiting the vet, we found out Dolly is in need of serious treatment. The two masses are tumors, which are benign (luckily), but do need to be removed to help improve her quality of life. The vet also found she has a fractured rib, and wait for this…they also discovered that limp is due to a shattered leg. SHATTERED. On top of all of this, she also has valley fever which needs to be treated. The entire vet’s office was shocked to see how much trauma this dog has endured, despite being relatively happy. It’s possible she was hit by a car and left for dead. Whatever she has endured, I will ensure she gets the proper care she deserves and needs.
Thus far, I have paid for all of her vetting and grooming appointments, but Dolly needs more help than I anticipated which is you why I am asking for your help. The surgery required to either fix her leg, or amputate could cost up to $8,000 and other expenses adding up to $10,000 and I will do whatever is best for her or recommended by our vet. Dolly is the toughest dog I’ve ever met, and any amount you can donate will help her. I will make sure that no one ever fails her again, and she will be up for adoption when she recovers.
