Help for dog in need

My neighbor's dog was badly hurt. My friends and I were barbecuing, and when I went out on my back patio, she was hanging out where she usually waits for me happily. When I saw her, I noticed that she was badly injured. I immediately went to my neighbor's house and asked them what happened, and they told me that she was injured somehow and it has been 7 days since she had this wound. They said that they tried to put Neosporin and bandages on it to heal the wound. I immediately took her to the 24/7 animal hospital to try to get her help. The veterinarian said that she is going to need surgery and have to have her leg amputated. I'm extremely upset at the whole situation in general and I'm asking for anyone's kindness and financial help. I have paid the money in cash to have her surgery completed, but I am a first-time home buyer and I have already spent a lot of money on my house, closing costs, and moving. I have already called 911 and they told me to wait until the morning to call animal control to report the situation. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
