Help for DJ Susie

Hello friends and family. Our names are Katie, the eldest sister to DJ Susie Huelsman, and Marsha, DJ Susie's daughter. We are helping her write this story. We truly appreciate you taking a moment to read her story.

Susie has lived and worked in the state of Wisconsin for the past 35 years. In addition to working professionally with full time employment, Susie also began a mobile DJ service, known as The Susie Show. For over 25 years, Susie found that providing music and fun for weddings, sponsoring karaoke nights, and creating music events for any kind of party was what she loved the most. Because of her drive and love for giving back, she turned her mobile DJ services into one of the most highly respected services in her area, including using her services to help provide moments of relief and enjoyment for the homeless.

Some of you know Susie’s current health status. For those of you who don’t know, Susie is fighting and has been fighting, Stage 4 Cancer for the past 5 1/2 years. Her journey with cancer began in 2011 with breast cancer. Her cancer metastasized to her bones in 2018. She found out that by 2022 her cancer had spread further to her liver and head. Over the past five and a half years, she’s been able to add to her quality of life by choosing both traditional and integrative treatment. There are still some very highly effective integrative treatments which are available that insurance will not cover. Hence, the reason for this Go Fund Me Page. Unfortunately such treatment will run upwards of tens of thousands of dollars.

Susie lives her life with such positive energy and has never asked for much. Many never even knew about her fight with cancer because she never focused on the negative. All who know her understand that Susie has always gone above and beyond even for complete strangers. Susie also wanted to reach out and let you know that this fundraising is to help her continue to receive treatment that has been successful in the past in order to buy more time.
