For Dixie Lopez Dyquiangco's Healing and Recovery

Please help us raise funds for our cousin Dixie. He has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and a pulmonary embolism and is currently hospitalized in critical condition. He needs our support as he takes on the fight of his life. 

 

Dixie is 41 years old.  He is an amazing chef, an excellent baker, a creative and hard working craftsman, a wonderful performer and singer, not to mention a fun and loving cousin, uncle, brother and son.

 

On March 22, 2021, he was rushed to the hospital by his parents because he was having a hard time breathing. After several diagnostic tests, he was informed that he had a blood clot and fluid in his lungs.

 

Dixie was admitted in the ICU that same night to begin treatment. Unfortunately, his condition worsened requiring him to be intubated and placed on a ventilator.  Shortly after being intubated, he suffered a cardiac arrest.  He was successfully resuscitated after 8 minutes of CPR.

 

To this date, Dixie remains on the ventilator, unable to breathe on his own. He has been opening his eyes but does not appear to be cognizant of his environment or the hospital staff. At this time, he only responds to painful stimulation. 

 

Only time will tell if Dixie will be able to recover from his current state.  We know that the cost of Dixie's medical care will be monumental.  Hence, we have started this go-fund-me page to assist with some of his expenses. The last thing his family should be worried about is the cost associated with his current and future care. Our hope is to at least alleviate some of the financial burden that undoubtedly will arise as Dixie continues his fight.

 

We are telling you his story because we need your help. If you can make a financial donation, we will forever be grateful.  If you are unable to donate, we would appreciate that you share his story and say a little prayer for his recovery as well as for the strength his family needs during this difficult time.
