I am reaching out because, as you all know, Ukraine is facing a dramatic humanitarian crisis and we desperately need your help.

 

As a result of the ongoing war, millions of displaced people from Kyiv, Kharkiv and the Donbas region have been forced to abandon their homes and seek shelter abroad and in other parts of Ukraine considered safer. At least for now, my city (Chernivtsi), luckily is one of these safer areas.

 

Chernivtsi and the surrounding villages are accommodating thousands of displaced people. They are staying in camps, schools, kindergartens, as well as in private homes. As you can imagine, they are in urgent need of blankets, food, medicines, etc.

Having my uncle on-site helps enormously to match the supply and demand of the items needed at all times and manage the funds more efficiently (as products are much cheaper in Ukraine and we avoid transportation costs).

 

For us, it's very important to be completely transparent. For that reason, once all the money has been used, a pdf will be made available for download where a full list of the items bought will be displayed, along with their prices. And more importantly, the purchase receipts. Also, in this Google Sheets link, you will be able to follow how the money has been spent.
