I am organizing this fundraiser for the Sharkey family, Danny, Kassie, and Sadie.

Sadie is my niece and unexpectedly her Daddy Danny was diagnosed with Glioblastoma. Doctors discovered a large aggressive cancerous tumor located in the left frontal lobe of his brain extending toward the middle. This is a devestating diagnosis. Due to the location of the tumor, surgeons will do their best to remove as much as safely possible but are not expecting to remove all of it. Surgery is scheduled for Thursday Dec 18 th at 10 am. The pictures show a large and deep mass.

Danny has been the main provider for his family with Kassie supporting him. She has done so by courageously taking on many roles at once. Student, by putting herself through school, Educator, by Substitute teaching, and the most important role of spouse and mother.

This families journey will be a long and difficult one. Danny will require 24/7 ongoing care. Kassie will be providing this care and therefore is unable to continue to work. Finances are being raised to alleviate the financial burden of household expenses, ongoing medical bills and everyday life. Kassie should be able to be there for Danny and Sadie without the financial worry of going to work and paying bills. This family deserves to spend what time they have together enjoying each other and soaking up every moment of life.
