Help for Daniel Davis and Stefanie Przybylska

Daniel Davis is a celebrated musician/composer. His orchestral works have highlighted New Mexican culture and been performed throughout the Southwest. Daniel performs on violin often in his church and with the Albuquerque Philharmonic Orchestra (APO). Daniel’s friends and colleagues in the APO are launching this funding drive in anticipation of Daniel and his wife Stefanie needing help to get him the care he needs beyond what insurance will cover.
Daniel’s cancer story began in December 2021 when he fell while walking their dog, Wolfgang (“Wolfy”). His right shoulder and glasses took the brunt of it. Called himself “vertically challenged”. After four such falls, Stefanie took him to their doctor. MRIs revealed the need for surgery to remove two masses in his brain. January 2022 found him in rehab following surgery and relearning to walk, swallow and much more. Throughout this ordeal, Daniel shared with friends and family his fantastic spirit, wit and creativity through facebook and continuing to play violin and compose:
“Have a good day, stay safe, be kind!”
“The medications have given me some trippy dreams. I can walk with a walker, read, and crack many jokes. I love my family, my wife, my friends.”
“Hangin out at the Presbyterian Hospital Savannah and ocean spa. Thank God for macaroni & cheese!”
“Music is a divine ART! It heals you when in distress and soothes your worries - no spell-check though!”
“The mind is an incredible part of the human condition. The brain is resilient. My personality is still intact. I love who I love, I hear music I've known for years, change one harmony and a slight variance in rhythmn - it is still music and provides the comfort required.”
“I am doing very well. I even had Wagner expelled from my room last night by three nurses for being so overly melodramtic and they did it with whoops and yelps with slapstick comedy of the three stooges. I think my brain is in excellent health.”
“So it begins: Radiation #1 (February 21, 2022) FOCUS/Prayer: Yes, find my rest and hope in God; Truly - God is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will not be shaken. Psalm 62: 5-6.”
“Peace and joy to all. D”
Treatments were to have been completed in March but then more were recommended in April. Daniel is getting weaker and is often confused. We all pray for him and Stefanie.
