Help for Daniel after falling 25 feet

Hi, my name is Melissa. My brother Daniel was in an accident on a construction site on September 27.

He fell 25 feet through the roof of a building straight to the ground of a dark warehouse at around 7:00 pm. He was unconscious for a while but got up and walked to the area where he was later found - he did this even though his whole body was broken!

He was found after everyone had noticed he had gone missing, taken to the hospital in an ambulance where they had to wait to treat him because he needed a CT Scan in order to assess if there was any internal damage.

Unfortunately, it took a very long time, due to many different factors, but he was finally able to get scanned at around 4:00am!

There seems to be no internal bleeding, no damage to his organs, and appears to have no damage to his brain. (UPDATE AS OF SEPT 29 - His brain has started swelling and he is being medicated with anti-inflammatories)

His arms took most of the hit and both arms have shattered in many places.

He also fractured his face and his hip. He has broken several ribs and his thigh bone.

His lung was punctured and they had to place a tube to relieve the pressure building internally. He will need many surgeries and many metal plates and pins need to be placed; he will also need lots of blood for the hip surgery.

These medical bills will be in the range of millions of Jamaican dollars and it is not something the immediate family can afford alone, we appreciate every little help.

In Jamaica we have a saying that goes "every mikkle mek a mukkle" which means every little bit counts, and we truly appreciate anything you are able to help us with!

He has a long journey ahead of him - surgeries, physical therapy, and more... we are so grateful for him to be alive right now after such a catastrophic fall that could have proven fatal.
