Help for Craig and Sharon Cole

Hi my name is Jennifer and I am asking for donations & prayers for my sister Sharon and my brother in law Craig.

Craig has been at UNC a little over a week ago now and my sister is having to travel that long drive and miss work.

Over the last several months my brother in law has been dealing with some major health issues. What started out to be a kidney issue has ended up with ongoing complications. Craig was on dialysis for a long time until he received the call that a donor kidney was available for him. We were all so excited for Sharon and Craig as we thought this was going to be a miracle for them and would eventually put an end to all the doctors appointments. Well sadly that wasn’t the case at all… Craig ended up with a place in his ear that ended up being skin cancer. He went to the doctor and had it removed but it came right back. He ended up having to have the inside and outside of his ear removed. Once again we thought Craig was in the clear and we could move on. Well now around 6 months later here we are again. The cancer is back this time in his neck. The mass is growing and pushing against things that it’s not suppose to. It’s causing headaches, blood pressure issues, heart problems and it’s also causing trouble swallowing and he can’t talk good. At this time surgery for removing the mass isn’t an option so last night they started him on chemo which will be done inpatient (every 3 weeks) in hopes that it will shrink the mass in his neck. He is scheduled to have a feeding tube placed on Monday and may end up with a pacemaker to monitor his heart.

Craig and Sharon have a long road ahead of them and to add to all their heartache they just had to put their fur-baby Lucy to sleep. I know they are exhausted and feel like they can’t catch a break. Please pray for them as they have to deal with whatever life throws their way.
