Hello everyone, thank you for taking the time out to even consider helping our cause. My mother - Corlissa McQueen Fluegel - has been hospitalized in the burn unit at DMC receiving since the 29th of November last year. This threw our entire situation into a complete whirlwind that we weren't expecting. I don't currently get paid for work - although I do receive SSI benefits, which truly isn't much, all things considered. It took Unicare - the company that handles her medical leave - over a month to approve payments, and even with those deposits - which are less than a quarter of Corlissa's salary - it has become incredibly difficult to keep up with rent and bills. It took me quite awhile to reach out for help but I now know that it may be the best option. I have been struggling and hustling to keep up with everything on my own, but know that I more than fall short this upcoming month. Along with all of the bills and expenses, the medical fees have started to rear their ugly heads. I won't continue to go on about the hardship, but it would mean so much for ANY support given. While she sways through the healing process and regression, there is a household that needs maintaining and I have run out of options. I thank and appreciate all of you so much.
