Help for Cora Sherman

Donation protected
Cora is 19yrs old, in her sophmore year of college studying criminal justice in the hopes of becoming a police officer. She loves Batman, Ninja turtles, spending time with family, especially her many younger cousins.

Sadly, her normal life has been put on hold. In December of 2016, Cora started experiencing severe headaches. These headaches sent her to the ER where a CT scan determined she had a 3mmx4mm Glioblastoma Multiforme or GBM. This is a grade 4 primary fast growing aggressive brain tumor. Within days of being diagnosed, Cora was in surgery to remove the tumor. While the surgery went well, it was also diagnosed as cancerous. Just days before Christmas, she started 6 1/2 weeks of radiation along with chemotherapy pills.

Shortly after the new year, Cora had a PET scan that revealed the cancer had spread to her lung. Now, along with radiation and chemo pills, Cora is undergoing full chemo treatments to combat the new tumor. Unfortunately, not all costs are covered and her family has to miss work for her treatments.

Through this all, Cora has remained positive and continues to fight with everything she has! She is looking forward to resuming classes in the fall and going back to work. Doing normal everyday things like hanging with friends, going to her boyfriend's hockey games and cheering on her beloved Buffalo Sabres are the things she is looking forward to.

Thank you to all!
