To our family and friends, local and abroad, and our Ohana of Kauai . Our dear Copelen Snyder has suffered a very serious, life threatening injury which nearly took his life.
There was an incident, which we believe to be a freak accident, involving the accidental misfire of a marine grade flare gun. This flare gun fired and penetrated a very dangerous part of Copelen‘s face and neck below his chin. It caused burns to his hands and significant damage to his tongue, mouth and airway. He was sent via Life Flight to Straub Hospital shorty after arriving at the ER. Copelen remains in a medically induced coma since his arrival last week. We don’t know how long it will be until the reconstructive surgeons and specialists can begin doing the necessary procedures.
In addition to his very costly recovery. Copeland also has a family and four beautiful young children who need our support as he is out of work. We are asking for every bit of help for them aswell
We are asking for donations to be used for Copelen’s healing and rehabilitation and initially for travel expenses so his family can go to Honolulu and be at his bedside during his recovery. This travel is very costly but necessary for his best chance at a full recovery.
We are asking the public, his loved ones, and anybody who can contribute to please donate so we can achieve this very realistic goal.
All funds donated will be used directly towards Copelen’s survival, recovery, and future rehabilitation which will be very extensive. We will update and upload weekly reports, showing receipts, to document how the funds are being used. Our goal is to get him back on his feet. Of course, being unable to work for the foreseeable future will devastate him financially. We will post live updates and photographs frequently to document his progress and recovery. We are grateful for any and all donations from the bottom of our hearts.
For questions regarding his health and well-being, please reach out to the contacts provided, we will try to answer them for you. Copelen needs everyone, united together and praying for his recovery. We ask for help from anyone who can donate.
We understand during these hard times it may be very difficult, but any amount will help and be greatly appreciated. We love all of you, thank you so much for your support.
