Help For Brittany during Connor’s Recovery

On September September 25, 2020 Connor was at his Great Grand Parents house going through a box of Christmas ornaments that were purchased a year prior at a garage sale. One of the ornaments was silver and shaped like a Christmas bulb. What appeared to be an ornament we now know was some kind of homemade explosive! Connor sustained unimaginable injuries all over his body and hands. He unfortunately lost some fingers on his left hand. His right hand will need skin graphs on his ring finger. He has burns and cuts all over his body. Because of the swelling, they are not able to close things fully up and he is still loosing blood. He will need further surgeries in the upcoming days as swelling subsides. He had shrapnel/pieces from explosive  in different areas of his body that they had to remove and a gash on his forehead. Both of his eardrums ruptured but will heal with time. Fortunately he did not loose any vision. Connor was a student at Beagle Elementary last year and his Mom Brittany is a Sub Bus Driver at Grand Ledge Public School, works for a Home Health Care Agency, and works at a daycare. This is a very difficult time for their whole family. Brittany works 3 jobs to support her family and will be unable to work for an unknown amount of time at this moment. It is my hope that we can come together as Family, Friends, Community, and beyond to support her with basic needs such as gas, housing costs, food, etc during this difficult time.
