My partner Ricardo Valdes has injured his knee (a meniscus tear) from training and teaching BJJ and he needs knee surgery to be able to fully function again. At the moment he experiences a lot of pain when bending or standing for long periods, which he mainly does while working in hospitality. Unfortunately his insurance does not cover the cost of consultations and surgery so he has to pay straight out of pocket, which we are struggling to afford during these times.
He is a great athlete, has competed in international tournaments and he helps a lot of students in the academy we train at. Most of all, he is an amazing and doting step-dad to my 7-year old daughter and they love to run and play together.
All I wish is for my partner to be out of pain and to be able to train again to achieve his dreams of competing again. Any donation would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much.
