Over the last 3-4 years, Al has been in and out of the hospital due to a wound on his hip that would not heal & Medical bills have stacked up against him.
Al Talbot has been a friend and mentor to so many people and although he will probably be mad at me for doing this…. he needs our HELP!
He’s had three extended hospital stays in the last two years - Two 3 months stays and one 6 months stay. During this time, they removed a kidney, and after several failed attempts, he finally found a doctor to treat the wound and it began healing - the problem was the infection was in the bone and they had to surgically remove some of the bone. It took them three years to figure this out. It's hard to imagine the pain and frustration he’s had over all of this.
On top of this, driving his van became impossible due to shoulder issues caused by using his arms to get around all these years. He couldn’t get the shoulder surgery he needed because of the wound injury. He had to buy a new customized van .
Last year, Al’s sister went to his home twice a day for over a month to give him IV antibiotics because his insurance would not cover a home aide. He’s has had so many medical bills that his insurance didn’t cover and to pay the six-figure debt he’s had to mortgage his condo.
For now, he’s successfully tackled all the medical bills but still has daily living expenses, monthly bills, and a wiped-out savings. If he needs additional medical support, he has no more resources.
Al has always been a fighter and together we can help him through this challenge. We started this page to give his friends and family the opportunity to contribute financial support for Al that will allow him to continue FIGHTING and give him the peace of mind he needs to focus on HEALING and gaining STRENGTH.
