For months, a young mother in our tight-knit community of Kyabram endured relentless harassment. Despite police reports, evidence, and repeated pleas for protection, the cycle never seemed to end.

That terrifying ordeal reached a breaking point inside the Kyabram Woolworths. The individual well known locally for a history of menacing behavior, substance fueled psychosis, and continually cycling back onto the streets through repeated bail grants cornered the young mother and her terrified young children while they were just trying to shop. As the mother and her crying children screamed in fear, Clint stepped up to intervene and shield them from harm.

Standing right beside him was his brother, Michael. Michael didn't go looking for trouble he simply stepped in to stand guard, keeping bystanders and other shoppers safely out of harms way while the chaotic situation unfolded.

Good Men Who Chose Not to Look Away

Clint is a dedicated stay-at-home dad, caring full-time for his young 11-year-old son, and Michael is a local who simply wanted to keep innocent people safe. Neither of them are troublemakers. They are family men who saw a mother and her children cornered, distressed, and needing immediate protection from a repeat offender the whole town knows all too well.

Now, instead of seeing the systemic issues addressed, both Clint and Michael are facing charges simply for stepping in to do what any decent human being would do.
