Help for Christina Grazier’s family
Donation protected
Christina Grazier; a loving mother, sister, daughter and friend lost her four year battle with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer on February 5th, 2020 at the early age of 64. She is survived by her 24 year old son, Grant. Chris, as her sisters would always say, had the heart and the strength of a Greek Spartan. No one would ever be able to say that she didn’t fight with everything she had until the very end. Not only was she dealing with a number of health issues over the past four years, she was also grieving the unexpected death of her husband, Gary, who passed in April of 2018. In just the matter of a year and 9 months, Grant has lost his father AND his mother. In November, she suffered a hemorrhagic stroke that placed her in ICU for 10 days, just for her to be sent home on hospice care due to her cancer now being untreatable. She was given weeks, maybe a couple of months left on this earth. Chris always stayed positive about fighting hard against her ever-losing battle to the point where she never told anyone that she was terminally ill. Grant had to put his life on hold for the past 3 months to be her 24/7 in-home caregiver and watched his mom deteriorate so drastically in such a short amount of time. The emotional anxiety of learning to be a caregiver, with no notice, combined with his normal life being turned upside down, challenged Grant’s physical and mental stability. He loved his mother deeply and would do anything for her to ease her pain and stress during her final days. With all of their family living outside of Texas, the amount of responsibility put on him was tremendous. No one should ever have to go through what he has at such a young age.
Grant now has to navigate, by himself, through all the duties that a sole survivor has to handle: funeral arrangements, medical bills, decisions regarding his parents personal property and especially his own future.
In lieu of flowers, any and all support for Grant in this trying time, as he has been unable to work during these months, would be greatly appreciated.
