Help For Chelsea's Car Accident Surgery Bills

On November 6, 2020, Chelsea Reck was involved in a vehicle accident on her way home from work and sustained several injuries, the most serious of which was to her abdomen. Ultimately, local doctors referred Chelsea to Johns Hopkins Medical Center where two top-tier specialists confirmed, via CT scan, the need for surgery as a result of the trauma from the accident.
 
Chels was only just informed that the surgery is set for February 3, 2021, should expect a three to five day hospital stay (updated 1/21/21), and will not be able to return to work for two to three months. This rapid fire set of evaluations and scheduling has provided a myriad of logistical challenges as well as the obvious financial and emotional stresses.
 
We anticipate the surgery and recovery will go well and thankfully, Chels has an incredible support system of family and friends to aid in her recovery.

Chels is the glue in our lives… she’s one of those stars that shines brightest no matter where she goes and impacts everyone she meets. She always has a positive outlook, can-do attitude, that snarky sarcasm and wit, and an incredibly unique view of the world. These incredible traits have not faltered during this challenging and stressful time, and we are humbled to be able to support her through it all.

The time you take to donate and share this fundraiser will directly help with medical deductibles/co-pays, the three day hospital stay, office visits, physical therapy (if needed), related medical expenses, and loss of income. Donations received that surpass these expenses will be donated to the Johns Hopkins Hospital Center.
