Chell is an amazing, wonderful and caring person. Many probably know her from the channels she helps moderate on Twitch or from the communities she participates in and/or moderates in various Discord servers. She is always friendly, funny and willing to help people out in any way she can. She doesn’t like to complain about personal things and she is a very private person. It was really tough for her to reach out, even to her close friends, to ask for assistance. I am setting up this GoFundMe account for her so that she may get some relief from the situation she is currently facing.
Over the last 2 months, Chell has had daily abdominal pain that has been affecting every aspect of her daily life. Last month, she had a CT Scan done and it revealed that she has 2 hernias and something on her liver. An MRI is required to determine if there is a tumor on the liver and depending on what is found, the future course of treatment is yet unknown. The other immediate need is that she has surgery to repair 1 of the 2 hernias. The one in her abdomen is what has been causing all of this pain but to have surgery it will require for her to be in recovery for 4-6 weeks. This means at least a month out of work.
Late last year Chell had a surgery to repair her sinuses which many of you are probably not aware of. She used up all of her savings to pay for this. Now she is faced with more medical bills as she prepares to have yet another surgery. She has already paid over 1100 dollars out of pocket for the CT scan and she received another 2 bills in the mail today ($677) over and above what she has already spent. In order to get the MRI, she was told she will need an estimated 1000 dollars out of pocket just to have it done. With surgery, there will be additional charges that have yet to be determined.
This past year hasn’t been easy for many of us but if you can possibly help with this it would mean the world to us. Any little bit that anyone can spare would be greatly appreciated.
