I am Chris Perry and I am attempting to raise money to assist my brother Charles Perry and his family with their medical expense. My brother has had stomach problems going back at least 10 years. Because of my brothers giant heart and incredible sense of family he has been forced to put his health concerns on hold.
My brother and his beautiful wife Keeley have jumped in to help raise Keeley's
siblings because there had been a sexual abuse situation (I won't go into details). Both of Keeley's sisters are developmentally disabled making Charles and Kelley's act of generosity even more noble but also more challenging.
Shortly after taking Keeley's sisters in, Charles and Keeley were made aware of another terrible situation that had put Keeley's young niece & nephew in harms way. They again stepped in to ensure that these innocent children did not have to enter the foster system. Again Charles and Keely stepped up and brought the children into their home. They also took in Keeley's autistic brother. Now, they are a happy family, 8 strong.
Charles & Keeley have since formally adopted all of the children but as you could imagine this has put an incredible financial strain on their family. Because of the level of care these children require, Kelley was unable to work (she needed to stay home with them).
During all of this, my brother has been experiencing debilitating stomach pain (usually a 1-2x / month occurrence). This stomach pain has been severe enough to keep him from going to work when it occurs. My brother has worked for the same company for over 17 years & while they do provide some health insurance, the family often can not even cover co-pay costs let alone specialists that are not covered by the insurance provider.
Over the last few months, these pains have begun to increase in both severity and how often they occur. This has caused my brother to miss more work and incur more medical expenses. That said, he is finally starting to address this by going to see the Dr.'s. Beginning in May, he is scheduled to begin a number of extensive (& expensive) tests in order to develop a treatment plan.
He has been warned that these tests and the potential treatments will come at a large expense. Because my brother has taken on such a challenging but rewarding endeavor, I offered to set up this fundraise on his behalf to help ease at least the financial burden of this treatment.
So, I am asking any who can spare a little to donate to an amazing man & his family so they can focus on what is important... each other.
