Chaminda has been a dedicated and indispensable part of the DCC family for many years.

With his calm and kind nature and tireless commitment, we have always been able to count on him. Chaminda has adopted several dogs himself – not just as pets, but as beloved members of his family.

But now Chaminda needs our help.

Out of the blue, he suffered multiple brain hemorrhages. The diagnosis was a shock – for him, his family, and all of us. After initial treatment at the hospital in Galle, Chaminda had to be transferred to the capital, Colombo. Only there is a specialized clinic capable of performing the complex surgery he urgently needs – a surgery his life depends on.

The situation is critical. Without this operation, Chaminda has no chance.

Chaminda comes from very poor circumstances. His family now faces an unimaginable financial burden. The cost of the surgery is enormous – far beyond what he and his loved ones can afford.

But one thing is certain: Chaminda will be operated on.

Marina Möbius has pledged to cover the costs in advance – because his life must not depend on money. But this means: that money will be missing elsewhere – for the animals, for daily operations, and for many other emergencies at Dog Care Clinic.
