Help for Carlyle

Those who know my father know that he never asks for help, but is always one of the first to offer help to family and friends.  So, I am asking friends and family for help on his behalf.
    This spring and summer has been a hard time for him and the family. It started off with a chimney fire in early spring that nearly caught the house on fire and left the chimney in such bad repair that it cannot be used this coming winter for heating the house.  
     Less than a month later a nagging pain in my Dad's side became bad enough that he went into the E.R.  An ultrasound discovered that he had multiple large tumors on his liver. Then a biopsy confirmed that these were metastatic tumors that had originated from his kidney. He was started on a chemo pill but had to stop after several weeks due to a large blood clot that was a side effect of his chemo. 
     Today we received more bad news. The CAT scan showed that the tumors on his liver and in his lungs have grown even with the medication. He was started on a new chemo medication by the Oncologist. I am hopeful that this new medication helps, but he is very weak and this cancer is in the advanced stages. 
     I am asking for help to help on behalf of my Parents to help pay for medical and travel expenses so we can keep him comfortable as can be.  I also plan on having a benefit dinner in the near future. I will keep you all updated as to when that will occur.
