Help for Care for Our Loving Mother

My name is Ron Havens, son of Mrs. Mary Havens. My mom is a 91-year-old loving disabled woman with dementia who can no longer stand or walk. She recently suffered a pelvic fracture and now requires 24-hour care and attention.

My brother lives with her, and he works at a very low pay rate, barely enough to pay for food and the very basics, and we now have to pay for a caregiver to be with my mom when he's at work. My sister and I live thousands of miles away, and we have no funds to pay for my mom's caregiver, and we have no money to move to help her directly. My mom cannot afford a nursing home; most are "hell-holes" per experience with other family members, and her Medicare won't pay for it anyway. She doesn't qualify for Medicaid. She lives only on a meager minimal Social Security, and we don’t have other family members to ask for help.
