Help for Cappy , injured by fireworks

Hi, on Saturday 11th of November my horse was turned out in his usual field a few miles from where he normally would be for some winter rest. Without informing myself, other liveries or the land owner , a house near the field had fireworks.

This terrified Cappy causing him to bolt through the hedge and get tangled in the fence in the next field.

The fence bought him down where is lay for a very long time trying to free himself.

By the time he was discovered in the morning he was in a very bad way, unable to get up and exhausted.

After two long hours, the fire brigade, animal rescue and the vet managed to get him to his feet.

He is now back home with me but has extensive injuries , he has a large wound on his left hind leg, he is lame on it and also very lame on his right hind leg that was caught in the fence, he has wounds on all legs and swellings under his stomach from where he was dragged out.

He is also exhausted and has lost a lot of weight.

He is going to need on going vet and specialist treatment to try and get him back to the horse he was .

I would not normally ask for help but the cost is going to be extensive to try and get him better , and all because of fireworks.
