Help for cancer treatment for Edith

Donation protected
For the past 15 months our mom has been fighting stage 4 breast cancer that has spread to her bones and lungs. Five months ago, she made the decision to stop chemotherapy treatments because it was causing a lot of harm, with no positive results in reducing the spread of cancer in her body. Quality verses quantity seemed to be the best option for her. Since her diagnosis we have focused on making the most of the situation, spending time together, and making as many memories as we can. There have been many bad days that no one sees, sprinkled with many good ones. We feel very blessed to have had more time then we were ever promised.

Last week, our mom got an opportunity to participate in a holistic approach to cancer treatment. This three week treatment promises to extend her life and reduce the spread of cancer in her body, without the harmful effects of chemotherapy. After a lot of prayer, our family decided to come together to make this happen for her, but the cost is pretty significant.  We would like to reduce the financial burden this will have on our parents. We were deeply touched when some of their closest friends and church stepped in to offer some financial relief. We thought, what if we could help remove the financial burden altogether? So they can simply focus on getting our mom healthy!

At first we were hesitant and fearful because we didn't want our parents to fall victims to promises that will set them back financially, with no results. But after sitting down with our parents, hearing of all the miracles, and watching how hopeful and faithful they are in God's promises, we had a change of heart. Our entire lives we have watched our parents trust God through every aspect.  God has carried them through some of their darkest days.  Even though sometimes it may have felt that He wasn’t there. We don't know what tomorrow brings, but we are choosing to put aside our fears and hand her life over to Him completely.

We ask our friends to pray for healing over our mom. We also pray that our parents may be a blessing to all they come in contact with as they share their story of faith and trust.

Love and blessings to all,
Patti and Ingrid
