Help for Cameron and Kevin
It’s safe to say, 2020 has been an extremely difficult year, for everyone. Unfortunately, my brother Cameron has been hit incredibly hard this past year.
Amidst the job uncertainty, he contracted COVID shortly after Halloween, and after multiple visits to the emergency room, ended up being hospitalized for 6 days. Weeks after being released, he still is feeling the lingering side effects and is on continuing medications to help cope until he is 100% well again, which at this point, is very slow going.
As if this wasn’t enough, on the evening of December 11th, 3 weeks after being released from the hospital, his beloved dog Kevin got off his leash and was struck by a car while out on a walk in Uptown. The car that hit him kept going, but luckily he and Cameron were immediately taken to the animal hospital by a good Samaritan, where it was determined that he had 2 badly broken front legs and a pulmonary contusion, which is bruising on his lung tissue. He will need surgery, and is also being kept for a period of time to figure out the next steps and to make sure he has no severe internal injures.
Needless to say, Cameron is absolutely devastated and overwhelmed. Not only is he dealing with his own health struggles, but he is now also dealing with the health of his dog Kevin, who is not even 2 years old and is the light of his life.
Any contribution, big or small, would be so very appreciated to help with not only Kevin’s medical bills, but Cameron’s as well. The impact of these last few months has been extremely hard. But we are also very grateful. Grateful that Cameron is ok, that Kevin is still with us, and that we have the love and support from friends and family alike. So any donation, no matter what it is, will mean the world.
Happy Holiday’s, and may next year bring the joy and relief we all so desperately crave. Thank you.
