Help for Bryan's Family

I am raising money to help support my brother, Bryan Petrak, and his family of 6 - wife Kristi, sons Aidan (age 9) and Kristopher (7), and daughters Lucy (6) and Janie (4) who live in Economy, PA. Any money raised will be given as a gift on Christmas Eve (his 44th birthday) to help with living expenses. My goal of $5,000 is estimated off of three months' mortgage payments, gas, and groceries.

In 2019, he fought (and won) the first battle with stage 4 colon cancer at the age of 42. In 2020, Bryan recovered and returned to work as a food scientist. His newest interest was in high quality chocolates and CBD gummies and was excited to become a professional chocolatier. But sadly, in August 2021 he was in pain and experienced significant weight loss and we learned that his cancer had returned, just as his family was getting back on their feet.

 

You can imagine how this is extremely difficult for his family emotionally, logistically, and financially. He has been unable to work, do household chores, or help Kristi care for their children since August. Kristi continues to work full-time as a licensed therapist helping children overcome trauma and is breadwinner for the household. What has been especially difficult is that Bryan’s employer does not offer any type of disability payment or financial support. It’s more crucial than ever for them to make ends meet this winter.

 

If you are feeling generous this holiday season and would like to help support the Petrak household, please do. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated. If you are not able to give but would like to help, I encourage you to share with your church members, coworkers, and close friends. 

 

Since we are trying to respect their family’s wishes for privacy, this will not be shared on social media or online publicly (at least for now). In fact, Bryan and Kristi don’t even know about this page.
