Help for Bolo's Surgery & THE HOPE HIGHWAY RESCUE

Hello everyone. Thank you for reading Bolo's story. Bolo was rescued by The Hope Highway Rescue about a week ago. His original owners stated they did not have time for him. Upon rescuing, a story was told that he had been hit by a car a few weeks ago, and the surgery to put the leg back in place was too expensive. I volunteered to foster Bolo, meeting him, he was scared and leery, while hobbling on 3 legs, with his right leg dragging on the ground. He had multiple scars, and wounds healing from his accident. We will never know Bolo's exact story, but we are thankful his owners surrendered him so he can have a second chance at a happy loving life. Getting him home, he opened right up with a wagging tail and a million kisses, instantly filled with so much love to give:) Getting to know him more, we discovered, fractured canines, scars on his head, and a giant scar on his bottom lip. Getting him to the vet asap was a must. Tuesday at his vet appointment, it was confirmed with X-rays that his leg was not able to be saved:( The vet got him on pain pills immediately and scheduled his surgery. He went in Thursday morning, and was in surgery all day. This will be a hard recovery for him, but he is getting lots and lots of snuggles with tons of blankys and pillows. The Hope Highway is local rescue here in Appleton. The owner is a courageous, loving woman with a heart of gold. She saves thousands of pets a year, with the help of her amazing staff. This week has been especially hard, as they took in multiple dogs that needed invasive surgeries, as well as a momma and puppies who have pneumonia. Medical bills are rising, but without hesitation, the rescue stepped up for Bolo's surgery. Multiple loans were needed for his medical bill yesterday, leaving the rescue with little to no funds for all the other dogs that need immediate medical attention. This gofund me will help raise funds for Bolo's high vet bill yesterday, as well as costs to fund the other multiple dogs needing food, medical attention, and basic needs. If anyone deserves the help, it is definitely Hope Highway rescue, they are some of the most selfless people I have ever met, truly these dogs angels on earth. We appreciate any help you are able give, thank you so much for helping this amazing rescue, and these loveable pups looking for their new best friends.
