My name is Charity and I am asking for help for Billy Cook who is married to our cousin Cindy (Rudge). Billy was involved in a bad motorcycle accident on June 5 on the Grindstone Road in Medway.

Billy's motorcycle left the road and he and the bike were thrown into the woods. Billy has suffered multiple injuries including nearly severing his tongue, several fractured ribs, a broken pelvis, a lacerated kidney, liver and ruptured spleen, bruised lungs and a blood clot, severe internal damage that will require removal of some of his intestine and a fracture in the base of his spine that may affect his ability to walk again.

Billy was life-flighted from MRH to NL EMMC and is currently intubated and in ICU there.

The doctors say he will have a long road to recovery but they do anticipate he will recover but they are unsure at this time of the prognosis for walking. He will probably need several surgeries and many trips for therapy and as a result, mounting medical expenses.

His wife Cindy is medically unable to work so Billy is the sole-supporter for the family and we are hoping to help them with these expenses during his recovery process as Billy has no health insurance. 

Those who know Billy know how dedicated he has always been to taking care of Cindy and their fur babies and meeting all of their needs by working hard to provide for them.

Any help for this family would be greatly appreciated.
