Help For Bill Domings & Family

Over the Memorial Day weekend Bill suffered a heart condition known as atrial fibrillation. His heart was pounding very fast in his chest, he was dizzy and it was hard to breath. Lainey took him to the hospital and he was admitted. They stabilized his heart with medication but the first day in the hospital, he woke up with neck pain and severe migraine. He was told he had a pinched nerve in his neck (for those who don't know, this can also be a sign of a stroke). Bill was discharged and within 2 hours was back in the ER with the exact same problems. They readmitted him and sent him for MRIs, CAT scan, chest x-ray, etc., to make sure he hadn’t had a stroke. He was in the hospital for 4 more days waiting for a nuclear echo cardio stress test but they accidentally gave him medication that disqualified him from being able to take that test for 48 hours so they sent him home and scheduled it for him as an outpatient. His follow up with the cardiologist recommended surgery to correct the heart problem and he was put on an emergency list for the surgery that is scheduled for the end of this month. Bill wound up having to go back to the hospital 5 more times as his body kept adjusting to the anti-arrhythmia mediation he was on. They performed cardioversion (electrical paddles) 4 times to get his heart back to a normal rhythm and gave him a different medication to prevent another attack. However, Bill had a severe reaction to this new medication which caused him to have a seizure.  The last time he went to the ER they performed cardioversion 3 times to get his heart back to a normal pace. They continue to play with his medication until he can have the surgery at the end of this month.

Now, if this isn’t bad enough, last week Lainey was admitted to the hospital with meningitis! Bill has been taking care of the kids and back and forth to the hospital for Lainey.  She has been in school and was on break (luckily).  Both Bill and Lainey are unable to work right now and they have 2 kids at home to take care of. The medical bills are piling up with no money coming in.

I first met Bill and Lainey when my husband suffered a tramatic brain injury which forever changed the course of our lives.  Bill and Lainey and so many others took it upon themselves to raise money for medical expenses and assistive devices that I desperately needed to get my husband home.  I can without hesitation say that their kindness and help made a HUGE impact on our situation.

Bill has not only helped me out, he has been involved with so many local charitable fundraising events for people he knows and people he doesn’t know.  Bill has a BIG heart and is always willing to help out with anything when asked.
Here are just a small number of the events he has helped raise money for:
Sean’s Ride
Kassidy’s Ride
Reed’s Run
Diabetes Awareness Rides
Breast Cancer Rides

Today Bill is struggling. Let’s step up and make a donation to get him and his family back on their feet. Please share this with everyone you know and please keep them in your prayers!
