As some of you know and others are now finding out, one of my best friends, Bernie Swick, has lost his two year battle with cancer.  Bernie was a loving husband, a great father, and a dear friend to many.  I was very privileged to have him as a friend, especially at a young man that needed a lot of help.  His wife and two kids are absolutely devastated, and are now put in an impossible situation.  His wife, Valerie, who is like a second mom to me, is doing everything she can and trying to make all the arrangements.  Bernie's family has spent their savings on all the necessary treatments for his recovery and are now in desperate need of assistance.  We have all known or loved someone taken away too soon by cancer.  The burdens that come with it are overwhelming.
