On Wednesday, October 22, 2025 life changed forever for Jim Bearden and his family. After being away for the afternoon, Pam and Melissa arrived home to find Jim missing. After searching for some time, Melissa located Jim in the yard, mostly unresponsive. They called 911 and Jim was taken by ambulance to Moses Cone hospital. The care team soon relayed the news that Jim had suffered a hemorrhagic stroke in the brainstem. Over the next several days, Pam, Melissa, Tyler, and Jim’s brother Bob were by his bedside around the clock.
On the evening of October 27, 2025, Jim was welcomed into the arms of Jesus.
Anyone who knew Jim would remark on how much he loves his family, his musical talents, his sense of humor, and most importantly, his deep devotion and faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He had the heart of a servant and a quiet humility that never sought the spotlight. Even as he neared death, he wanted to give others the gift of life by being an organ, eyes, tissue, ligaments and bone donor. His gift has the potential to help upwards of one hundred people.
As the family walks through this journey, many people have asked how they can help. Your prayers are requested and welcomed. Please pray specifically for the entire family to truly feel the loving arms of Jesus through this entire process. For those who desire to offer financial assistance, your donations are greatly appreciated and will help pay medical bills and expenses. On behalf of the Bearden family, thank you and God bless you.
