Help for baby Taya Beck

The week of April 19th Dalton and Naomi noticed Taya had become very weak. Not wanting to eat much, play, or even take a bath. On Thursday April 22nd they noticed their little peanut would not stand and being sat up seemed to hurt her quite a bit. That next day; on Friday Dalton took the day off of work and took Taya to Defiance ER. They were very thorough and could not find anything besides slight dehydration. So she was treated for that with some fluids in the ER for a few hours then brought home to hopefully get her going again. The next morning Naomi had to work and while at work Dalton had noticed Taya wouldnt not move her right side.. Mostly her right leg. They decided once Naomi was home to return to the ER. They did all repeat testing amd added a CT scan of her brain. Everything again came back normal. Alarmed at Tayas state the ER dr talked with Toledo Children's Hospital
Neuro team and decided it would be best to transport her there for a pediatric Neuro team to evaluate her as quick as possible. Once at Toledo Children's a team of drs came to evaluate Taya and order some testing. Taya was put to sleep to perform an MRI, full body x ray, and a spinal tap. After concluding the MRI there was no need for the other 2 tests to be done. The team found a mass that was pushing on her spinal cord causing the paralysis. The mass was significant in size. Ranging from the middle of her neck to her shoulder blades. After deliberation with the neuro team shortly after the neuro team met it was decided that we should send Taya to an even bigger hospital to tackle this HUGE scary procedure with drs that were more familiar in dealing with wat was going on. Dalton and Naomi decided Columbus was where her odds were better. So at 1230 am Monday morning squad transported
taya to Nationwide Childrens Hospital. After discussing everything Taya was prepped and ready at 5pm for surgery. What we thought was going to be a 4-6 hour surgery ended up being a 1 1/2 hour surgery. God answered prayers!! The mass was, easily sucked out and only 1 bone was removed. As of April 29th taya still hasn't been able to walk. The hopes are to do multiple Therapy styles to get taya walking again. Her spinal cord isnt completely back to place but once swelling and shock come down the hopes of the indentation on her cord will be healed. Taya has a long road to go. They are looking at being in Columbus another 2-4 weeks at least. Currently Naomi isnt being paid at work to be off to be with Taya to recover.
