Help for Baby Hudson

This is my two-month-old nephew Hudson. Hudson has had a rough time so far in his short, little life, and could use some support. Just over a week ago, we found out that Hudson is almost completely deaf. He is also so, so tiny, holding strong in the first percentile in weight for babies his age (1%). That is because he's been having trouble keeping down any breast milk or formula. Last week, an ultrasound was scheduled to check out what was going on in his tummy. During the ultrasound procedure, Hudson had what looked like a seizure, and was transferred to the emergency room. In the emergency room, it happened again several times and he was admitted. After 3 days in the hospital with every scan and lab test imaginable, Hudson was released with no diagnosis and no answers. He is home now and in the process of getting lots more ongoing tests and appointments scheduled.

As you can imagine, this has been stressful for my sister, a single mom of two babies under 2 years old. She adores her two babies and works tirelessly to provide everything she can for them. However, all of this is a little more than anyone expected. We were told at an appointment yesterday that Hudson will need a lot of extra medical support, especially during this critical growth phase. He’s got upcoming appointments with neurologists, geneticists, and lots of hearing specialists for all sorts of devices and services to try and help Hudson thrive.

My sister is a contracted employee, paying out of pocket for Hudson’s insurance, and going unpaid for all of his appointments and hospital stays. While that’s been manageable, these new and upcoming expenses for Hudson are not. I am asking for any financial support that can be applied to Hudson’s therapy and medical expenses. Also asking for prayers and good vibes….. makes all the difference. ❤️
