Help for baby Cooper’s Health and Homecoming

Donation protected
This fundraiser is to help my daughter’s young family, the Coronado’s, with costs to bring her baby boy Cooper back to the Central Valley, and with associated medical bills.
At her 20 week anatomy scan Kristin and Hexton were told that their baby had a serious birth defect called CDH.

Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) is a rare birth defect that occurs when the diaphragm, the muscle separating the chest and abdomen, doesn't fully form during fetal development. This leaves a hole that allows abdominal organs to protrude into the chest cavity, crowding the lungs and heart.

On April 29, 2025 Kristin was moved to the Ronald McDonald House in Palo Alto, CA so she would be close to Stanford Medical Center. Here Cooper was born and has remained in the NICU since May 17. He has had two successful surgeries and is learning to eat and breathe on his own. He’s not quite ready to come home yet, but he has been cleared for transfer to our local children’s hospital. After two long months apart and a lot of travel back and forth, Kristin and Cooper are finally scheduled to come home! Kristin, Hexton, Cooper, and big sister Kolbie will finally be together.

Here is where this family can use your help. The transport is approximately $5,000 out of pocket on top of considerable medical bills. We appreciate any help and support you are able to provide. Our family appreciates all of your love and support throughout this difficult time.
