Help for baby Aria Mae and her family

Hi everyone, my name is Nicole Bauer. I have started this GoFundMe on behalf of the Lodder/Fulton family to help support them in this time of need.

This sweet little baby is Aria Mae. She came into the world as the most wonderful surprise, on May 20th, 2023. Her parents, Cayla Lodder and Kyle Fulton, have been completely overwhelmed with love for their new family of three.

However, shortly after welcoming Aria home, she began giving hints that she wasn’t thriving. She lost more than the ‘usual’ amount of weight after birth and had episodes of rapid breathing and turning blue (if she became mildly upset or cool). Within the week, she was diagnosed with a significant heart defect: Tetralogy Of Fallot (TOF). A four-part heart defect, affecting all four chambers of her wee heart.

Aria has since been under the supervision of the cardiology team at Sick Kids Hospital and has been able to stay at home thus far, only driving to Toronto for testing and appointments.

But on September 19th, (at just shy of 10lbs), she will undergo her first open heart surgery in Toronto. They will only be repairing two of the four defects due to her small size, with more surgeries to follow.

Her parents need our help: Both of them work in the service industry in Elora, and neither of them have paid time off, or benefits. We’re hoping to raise money to help take some of the financial burden off, so they can focus on Aria’s recovery.
