Hello Friends.

We are starting this account to help the beautiful Faltas family as they fight for the recovery of their beloved husband and dad, while also trying to keep the day to day bills and finances that we all face current. Ayman had recently embarked on a new professional venture, leaving the family with no regular income during his hospitalization. I know this wonderful family as our kids attend Crean Lutheran High School together and my children have participated in sports with both Julia and Grace. Molly has graciously allowed a group of us to start this account to share Ayman's story and to help them focus on his recovery and let us help with the finances.

On July 24th, after a week-long battle at home with COVID, Ayman Faltas became unresponsive and was rushed by ambulance to the hospital. For the first few weeks, the doctors continually estimated his chances of survival to be between 0-5% and discouraging reports and Ayman’s increasing dependence on the ventilator became the daily report. After three weeks on the ventilator, Ayman’s lungs collapsed and the doctors had to insert tubes into his chest to inflate his lungs and drain fluids. This was soon followed by a tracheotomy and his family was told to brace themselves for the worst. However, God had other plans, and after a six-week long fight Ayman started to show improvement. After more than two months in the hospital, Ayman is finally conscious, making daily strides towards health, and has been cleared for physical therapy and an extended time in a rehabilitation facility to regain basic motor skills.

While the Faltas family rejoices at this miracle and is excited to soon welcome him back home, with this battle has also come an unexpected financial crisis. As the sole breadwinner of the home, Ayman’s illness has left his wife Molly and two daughters, Gracie and Julia, without any income. Any financial contribution to the family would be deeply appreciated, as it would allow them to focus their efforts on helping Ayman in his recovery and their overall healing.
