Support Artist Solomon Tekalign's Children's Education
Donation protected
Our beloved brother Artist Solomon Tekalign Mehari passed away and was laid to rest yesterday, April 26, 2025, in Atlanta, GA. Artist Solomon was a renowned Ethiopian singer who abandoned fame and money to advocate for the people of Tigray during the genocidal war that started in November, 2020. He was one of those rare souls who stood for justice, peace and truth. During the darkest days of the genocide, when our people cried out for help, he traveled from state to state—through rain, snow, and sleepless nights—raising his voice for Tigray. He gave his time, his energy, and his heart, standing for justice when it mattered most. Now, he leaves behind four young children, the oldest 18 and the youngest 12 years-old.
Now that he has passed, his children need our financial support to continue their education and fulfill their father's dream. Please support them by gifting your blessings.
The Tegaru community in Atlanta, where he lived, has formed an official national committee to coordinate this fundraising to support his children. This is our moment to show gratitude to Artist Solomon—not just in words, but in action. Please contribute what you can. No amount is too small when given with love.
Let us honor Solomon as he honored all of us—with courage, commitment, and compassion.
Thank you!
