Help for Anthony's Services & Kids

Our dear friend & family member Anthony Buchanan passed away abruptly this week at just 36 years old. He is survived most notably by his three beautiful children - Gerek (15), Seth (12), and Ethan (11).

No one is ever prepared for this kind of loss, especially someone so young. The family would greatly benefit from assistance with funerary costs. We are also hoping to raise funds to support the boys with processing their loss. Grief is difficult to navigate even for adults, but losing your parent as a teen or preteen is a devastating burden. We want to provide them with whatever support and counseling they may need to help lighten that load and give them professional guidance to healthy grieving.

This type of emotional and mental support is important to us and was to Anthony as well. His passing marks the end of a long and valiant battle with mental illness. He dreamed of starting a community space to help others facing similar challenges find hope and inspiration together through support and friendship. He fought to overcome his limitations and always took bold steps to live a vibrant life full of adventure, music, marathons, micro-brews, wry humor, and a lot of laughter. Anthony was a complex and passionate person who brought his own unique brand of comedy to every situation. We ask for compassion during this time, that his boys can feel uplifted, loved, and supported. We hope they never have to face the stigmatization and judgment that is often held against those who lose their lives to invisible illnesses.
