The Story
My name is John Crupi and on behalf of the Crupi and MacLean families, we’ve set up a GoFundMe page to raise much needed money for our dear Sister-in-Law Anne Crupi to help with medical coverage.
Anne has been diagnosed with Stage 4a, EGFR Mutation Lung Cancer and Brain Cancer. She recently had brain surgery to successfully remove a lesion several weeks ago.
Anne is an amazing wife to our brother Joe and mother to our nephew Ryan. Not to mention a sister, sister in law and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Many of you that are reading this have had the opportunity to work with Anne in some capacity and know the person that she is. She is dedicated, loyal, hardworking and has always treated people with dignity and respect.
We need your help
Anne and her family are facing the challenge of huge medical costs that are not covered under OHIP. Anne hasn’t been employed since October of this year and the family no longer has any health coverage.
Due to the location of the cancer in her lungs and brain, her team of Doctor’s have recommended a new drug called “Afatinib”. This is used to treat non-small cell lung carcinoma and is her only option available.
The cost of this pill is $90.00 per day. This is not covered under OHIP (Ontario Provincial medical plan).
It is unclear how long the treatment plan will take and we are looking for help to cover these costs. We have set our goal at $24,000 to provide 8-10 months of coverage.
When?
We need your help now. Her treatments began last week (Dec 12th) and will continue for months.
Please share this with others that you believe know Anne. We are posting this on Facebook and LinkedIn.
Thank you so much for your consideration and contributions. We will provide updates on her condition as things progress with the treatment.
Kindest regards,
The Crupi and MacLean Family
