Today after school 9/17, I was told that one of our school moms and her toddler were struck by a car as they crossed the cross walk at 3pm on monday sept 16th.
The driver did stop but the impact of a car driving at 30mph striking Angelica, caused her to fly into the air, hit the ground hard, swelling in her head, caused a broken hip and knee and other bruising and swelling throughout her body. She will need surgery.
Her toddler thank GOD has scrapes and bruises. She was transported to a hospital in Walnut Creek while her son was transported to a childrens hospital in Oakland.
She was on her way to pick up her son Elijah and Evangeline as she does daily for drop off and pick up. They have no car. They live nearby.
She is unsure when she will be discharged from the hospital and is worried about her job, her income and her kids.
She is a single mother of 3.
I will find out more information from her in the next couple of days as to what I can do and WE can do as a community to help her during these challenging times. 
I am still shook from this news but I know and have faith that she will recover. 
Your monetary help will go a long way. I dont want her stressing about how she will pay her rent. All will be ok. We have to believe it.
