Help for Andie Zissa~Rose of York

Donation protected
Andie has been struggling with too many major health issues for years, but had multiple organ failure about two years ago while at work and then was diagnosed with Late Stage Lyme of 29 years, which they believe has turned into MS.

She was hospitalized several times in 2016 for multiple organ failure, fluid overload, kidney stones in both kidneys along with surgery for obstructing stones, diverticula and colitis.

Multiple autoimmune diseases and other illnesses such as Psoriatic Arthritis, Late Stage Lyme Disease, MS, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Cervical cancer, Arthritis & Arthropathy due to Lyme, Homozygous MTHFR gene mutation, Osteoporosis, Chronic Fatigue, Cushing’s Syndrome, Fibromyalgia and “Other Amnesia” along with multiple surgeries and operations over the years have taken a toll on her body and continue to do so.

Andie is on active monitoring for three blood cancers, Polycythemia Vera, Leukemia and Myeloproliferative Neoplasm and has multiple tumors in her low back and on her shoulders that are creating a lot of acute pain.  Andie’s white blood cell count has been elevated and consistently rising since 2004.

When Andie was most recently referred to an Oncologist/Hematologist for the second time in the last ten years, her insurance was terminated that day by the company that she had been overworked at.

In April of 2016, Andie was on chemo (methotrexate) and Humira to slow down progressive and inflammatory Psoriatic Arthritis which attacks all organs and the immune system.  She was extremely overworked by her company and had just come off of a 26 hour run due to the level of work expected from her.   She then ended up with Cushing’s syndrome again and was hospitalized for 1 week and a half which started her recent downfall. She has been taking heart pills (water pills) daily for approximately 10 years due to edema and fluid overload.

Fluid builds up in her heart, lungs, organs & tissues at a rapid pace daily, which requires medicine (heart/water pills & potassium) which makes her weak and dehydrated.  It is a constant struggle in and of itself. Andie has also been undergoing antibiotic chemo therapy for Late Stage Lyme for the last two years and has not improved as some do.  This has also taken a toll on her physical and mental health.

The hospitals have asked her to do home health, but she isn’t the same cognitively.  She now struggles with motor skills and memory loss and has also been told that she likely has PTSD.

She was denied her Long Term Disability and Short Term Disability insurance that she paid into at work due to being unable to coordinate sending the requested paperwork to multiple locations and methods.  Her doctor submitted multiple times as well.

She has an attorney for SSI that she has difficulty getting a hold of.  She is now on her 3rd appeal for benefits.

Andie has never been one to ask for help, and has often been the person helping others behind the scenes.
She is now in a position where she cannot do for herself, let alone for others anymore, which she has always loved to do.  Any help you can give Andie would be greatly appreciated.
