Help for Ana, Daniel and new baby, Daniel Jr.
Donation protected
Ana and Daniel have been coming to PEI for the past 6 years working as Temporary Foreign Workers in the Seafood industry in Beach Point, which they both loved. They love PEI and decided they wanted to apply for their permanent residency (especially when they found out they were pregnant with their first child), Unfortunately, Beach Point Processing plant doesn't operate year round, so they were advised to apply somewhere that could give them full-time work, as they need this to work on their permanent residency. Due to unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances, their promise of permanent positions in Summerside has been delayed. Therefore, their work permits didn't come through and it could take months to obtain them. With a new baby, Daniel Jr., now a Canadian Citizen, the couple do not qualify for any benefits (EI, maternity etc.) and are left with no money after spending their entire savings on rent and food to move to Summerside for these positions they were promised. Daniel has to fly to Toronto next week to meet with the Mexican embassy to renew his passport, that will soon expire. They don't have any financial means for him to even pay for the airfare, let alone stay in a hotel/food for the amount of time that he will have to be there. He will be just staying at the airport. They paid for Ana's mom to fly to PEI to look after little Daniel so that Ana could start work immediately. They are an amazing couple who want nothing more than to work, and raise their baby in beautiful PEI. Every little bit of financial help will help them greatly; even a small amount is huge to them. They are very humble people and very scared for the future. and would never ask for help if they didn't need it desperately. Ana hopes to one day get her education accredited in Canada to work in her field as an Engineer hopefully.
